Laurie graduated from professional massage training in 1999 and began her journey in massage therapy at Pickwick Place in February 2000 in a small room at 617 S Pickwick. Following her intuition as new space presented itself, she rented what is now Tea Bar and Bites and formed a co-op known as Zen3 Bodywork Studio with several therapists and Tea Bar. In 2007, a larger space opened up at Pickwick Place and Zen3 Spa and Bodyworks was born. With Laurie’s leadership and ability to recognize talent, Zen3 has grown to be one of Springfield’s premier spas featuring some of the most gifted, experienced and intuitive massage therapists. She developed a culture where her staff thrives with support, opportunities for self-development and independence to grow in their profession. Laurie’s latest venture, Zen3 Yoga Studio, opened in March 2018 in the same space where Laurie began her business. Zen3 Yoga Studio offers classes taught by talented yoga teachers focused on sharing a love of yoga, a sense of community and a commitment to wellness.
